The swimmer, David Meca, accomplished on the past 5th of January, 2 times the distance that unites the Spanish coast to the African coast. The last lap had not been approved by the Asociacion de Cruce a Nado del Estrecho de Gibraltar, as Meca needed medical assistance in the last lap after a hit on one of the zodiacs. It took him 12 hours to cover the run between Tarifa-Morocco-Tarifa-Ceuta.
