In case of emergency call 900 202 202
1) Watch out for weather conditions. Wind and sea conditions change abruptly along this coast. Be careful with wind from the land as it can carry you far from the shore.
2) Check the tide table and inform yourself about the main currents in the area.
3) Respect forbidden areas and the minimum distance from the beach. Use the channels marked with buoys. Remain far from swimmers, divers and fishermen.
4) Don't go surfing right before sunset. If you have problems it's difficult to find you in the night.
5) Don't sail more than one mile away from the coast.
6) Protect yourself from the cold (wear a wet suit) and use brightly colored sails, boards and clothes.
7) When speed surfing wear a helmet.
8) Have with you a small backpack with a torch, chemical lights and some high energy food.
9) Don't sail alone. Tell somebody about your plans, so they can alarm the coast guard if you don't come back.
10) Never leave your board by trying to swim ashore. Climb onto the board and try to attract attention by lifting and lowering your open arms. Never overestimate your strength. Use boards with a secure towing system on the prow.
